This is an introduction to ultrasound for surgeons, led my Mr Jit Sen who is a BSSH member. Lectures, demos, practical training, and realistic phantoms for carpal tunnel and trigger finger sono-surgery release.

Learning Outcomes:
- Focused Ultrasound (USS) training, reviewing basic principles, knobology, and machine use.
- Review of sono-anatomy to diagnose and treat common hand and wrist conditions, including carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger digit, De Quervain’s tenosynovitis, and thumb CMC joint OA.
- USS-guided injection techniques for managing common conditions.
- Hands-on practical experience with USS machines, practicing scanning techniques on each other, models, simulators, and realistic phantoms to perform carpal tunnel and trigger finger sono-surgery.
- Ultrasound scanning at the point of care from a hand surgeon’s perspective.
- Setting up an ultrasound-guided injection clinic, including practical tips and tricks.
