BSSH International Visiting Fellowship
This prestigious Fellowship has been created and funded by the British Society for Surgery of the Hand. It launched in 2021 and run annually thereafter. Its aim is to foster international links and friendships across the speciality, to facilitate sharing of education, research and best practice in Hand Surgery.
Four International Hand Societies will each be invited to select and nominate an eligible candidate. The four successful Fellows will engage in a two-week visit, travelling between three UK hand surgery centres, allowing 3-4 days of learning and observation in each centre. The Visiting Fellowship culminates with complimentary registration for the BSSH Autumn Scientific Meeting and attendance at the Society Dinner.
All travel and accommodation within the UK will be provided, but travel to and from the UK will be the responsibility of the fellow. The Fellowship is open to Full Members or Trainee Members of the invited Hand Societies. Applicants should be in their final year of training, or no more than 5 years following completion of their surgical training/board certification.
