BSSH Global Partnership Fellowship

This fellowship is currently not running.

This fellowship was created to facilitate trainee involvement in Global Hand Surgery and the work of the BSSH Global Partnership Committee. This will allow a trainee to accompany one of many BSSH overseas trips undertaken annually to observe and assist in clinics, theatre, and teaching delivery. Currently, there are ongoing projects in Malawi, Sierra Leone, Ethiopia, Sudan, Cambodia, Nepal, and Myanmar.

Up to £1500 will be awarded to cover reasonable travel and accommodation costs. Interested trainees are encouraged to email secretariat@bssh.ac.uk

The requirements of participation are as follows:

• Associate BSSH Member
• Orthopaedic or Plastic Surgery Specialty Trainee
• Enthusiasm for overseas work (previous experience not necessary but highly valued)
• Sufficient time to fulfill the role
