Hands Reworked
Hands Reworked is a photographic exposé of hands following surgery that aims to celebrate patients who have recovered from injury or hand problems and the multidisciplinary teams of professionals who treated them. It showcases patient stories, the impact of their condition or injury and the benefit of their treatment, accompanied by professional artistic photographs illustrating these hands in their everyday work, recreation and environment.
In producing this book we aim to:
- Improve the visibility of hand surgery as a speciality and promote its importance, as we wish to show case the benefits gained from specialist treatment.
- Highlight the huge burden that problems affecting the hand place on society, business, patients and their families.
- Celebrate the charitable work of the BSSH in the UK and abroad.
The proceeds of the book will serve to continue the work of the BSSH and hopefully kickstart our next project to build a specialist Hand Surgery Unit in an underprivileged country.
