Training opportunities are adjusted to meet the individual fellow’s educational needs. Sheffield is a Major Trauma Centre, hand and wrist trauma is provided by the Hand Centre team. Trauma clinics provide immediate and follow up care, we also have Brachial Plexus clinics twice a month. Additional Notes We provide wide ranging experience of close working between hand surgeons from plastic and orthopaedic surgery backgrounds in a dedicated modern unit located within a major trauma centre. Our fellow is welcomed into a busy multidisciplinary team with a stimulating schedule of clinical work and training. We pride ourselves on tailoring the fellow’s experience to meet their educational needs, preparing them for consultant practice. We are enthusiastic supporters of the Hand Diploma and quality improvement projects; there are also often research projects ongoing in the department.
