BSSH Training Interface Group
Representing the pinnacle of Hand Surgery training in the UK and recognising Hand Surgery as an “Interface Specialty” these fellowships provide training by either or both of two parent specialties: Plastic Surgery and Trauma & Orthopaedic (T&O) Surgery

Awarded to enable visits to centres of excellence and interest in this country and elsewhere
Intended for Consultants who are Fellows of BSSH or for senior trainees who are associate members and who have completed a hand surgery fellowship

The Research Fellowship or grant is to fund clinical or basic science research of relevance to hand surgery

BSSH Overseas Fellowship
Created to facilitate trainee involvement in Global Hand Surgery. It provides funding for a trainee to accompany one of many BSSH overseas.

This fellowship fosters international links and friendships across the hand surgery fraternity, as well as to facilitate sharing of education, research and best practice between international hand societies

BOA Clinical Leaders Programme
The British Orthopaedic Association run this programme to develop current and future Orthopaedic Consultant leadership capability for the NHS and to accelerate service transformation and quality improvement within and across Orthopaedic services. Althrough run through the BOA, this course is also open to surgeons working within interface specialties.
