BSSH Instructional Course - The Wrist
Friday 19 and Saturday 20 June 2026
Over a 3-year period a series of 2-day courses running in June and February each year will cover the entire syllabus in hand surgery. Each course will explore a subject area in depth with innovative teaching combining lectures, small group tutorials and simulation.
The penultimate course in series 9 will be the popular Wrist course and will run on Friday 19 and Saturday 20 June 2026. The concept of this course is to cover all aspects of wrist surgery both elective and traumatic. Pre-course material will cover biomechanics and kinematics of wrist movement along with a video guide to clinical examination and radiology of the wrist. Course content will include scaphoid injuries, scapholunate ligament injuries, distal radial fractures and perilunate dislocation, DRUJ instability and injuries to the TFCC
