BSSH 2021 Spring Meeting goes Virtual
Book study leave now
12 February 2021 (Last updated: 5 Mar 2021 10:04)
Based on the very helpful two hundred and fifty survey responses from the membership it seems that there is a high demand for something to replace the lost face-to-face Spring meeting in Exeter. The majority of respondents favoured daytime CPD - I think many (including myself) are understandably weary of working all day and doing CPD in the evening.
We have therefore planned 2 days of virtual Spring meeting on Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th April. We will offer a varied programme, with some parallel sessions and private meeting rooms to reproduce, as far as possible, both the content and networking aspects of our usual scientific meetings. We hope to feature our prestigious guest lecturers brought forward from 2020, as well as symposia, panel discussions, talks and free papers.
I encourage you to join us. We all have a backlog of unused study leave and all need CPD for our appraisals or training programmes.
Please note that the meeting is 8 weeks away as of Wednesday 17th February, so if you need to give 8 weeks' notice of study leave, you will have to apply in the next few days.
I look forward to seeing many of you there.
Best wishes, Sue
Sue Fullilove
BSSH President 2021
