DESCRIPTION:What: This is a 2-day accredited hand fixation workshop in combination with Medartis aimed at plastic and orthopaedic consultants and trainees who deal with hand fractures. (Please note that the course is followed by a 1-day wrist fixation workshop on 20 March).\n\nThe faculty consist of national and international hand surgeons\, with a high faculty to delegate ratio. The course will consist of a balanced mix of lectures\, practical sessions (using saw bones) and discussion groups. Topics covered during the 2 days include:\n\nK-wires in fracture fixation\nSurgical approaches to the hand: metacarpal and phalanges\nCondylar fractures\nLocking plates\nRolando fractures\n\nThe course fee includes lunch\, online course materials and an evening meal.\n\n
