DESCRIPTION:University Hospitals of Derby & Burton will be holding an online course aimed at Registrars and SHOs that covers: Wrist Anatomy/Biomechanics/Imaging\; Trauma\; Arthritis - SNAC\, SLAC\, SCAC/Wrist OA/Rheumatoid Wrist/STT OA\; Soft Tissue - clicking wrist\, carpal instability\, unstable DRUJ\; Examination of Wrist Arthroscopy cases.\n\nLearning Outcomes:\n\nFor delegates to be able to learn about the pathways and decision-making tools that specialists in wrist pathology use clinically.For delegates to be able to describe elective and traumatic abnormalities without the use of the eponyms on plain radiographs of the wrist and understand some basic MRI findings.For delegates to be able to differentiate between wrist osteoarthritis (including SNAC\, SLAC\, SCAC)\; rheumatoid arthritis and scapho-trapezium/trapezoid osteoarthritis and for them to understand the role of the hand therapist when treating patients with arthritis.For delegates to identify signs and symptoms which are associated with significant soft tissue injuries in the wrist and when arthroscopy can be a useful adjunct. \n\n
